Thursday/Saturday, November 1/3, 2012 —USA – Hobart, Tasmania
Depart from your USA gateway for your flight to Australia. Cross the International dateline and lose a day but gain it back on the return. Upon arrival at Tasmania, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. This evening stroll to dinner at Mures Upper Deck.
Sunday, November 4, 2012 —Hobart
Today begins at Hobart’s birthplace and ferry terminal: Sullivan’s Cove. Battery Point with charming historic houses, St. George’s Church, St. David’s Park, Museum and art Gallery and Penitentiary Chapel and Court.
A half day cruise adventure through Hobart’s magnificent sheltered waterways with a visit to Peppermint Bay is included. Cruise the Derwent River and D’Entrecasteaux Channel; witness giant kelp forests and sea life on the ocean floor and visit island bird sanctuaries.
Monday, November 5, 2012 —Hobart – Port Arthur – Hobart
Depart from our hotel for our day excursion to Port Arthur – Australia’s premier historic site. Visit Eaglehawk Neck to view some of the spectacular natural coastal geological features, Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen and the Blowhole. In Port Arthur the Lottery of Life follows the journey of convicts from the United Kingdom to Tasmania. Explore the convict artefacts on display. The Port Arthur Historic Site guided Historical Walking Tour is offered through the restored and period furnished homes from the convict era.
Tuesday, November 6, 2012 —Hobart – Strahan
Journey back in time on a 35km West Coast Wilderness Railway from Queenstown and port of Strahan with stops at Lower Landing, Dubbil Barril, Rinadeena. Enjoy spectacular views of the bridges and rivers below, massive hand-hewed rock cuttings, under the protective canopies of ancient rainforests and along the edge of plunging gorges.

Today you will cruise the Gordon River and stop at Heritage Landing for a walk through an ancient rain forest visit a penal colony of Sarah Island.
Thursday, November 8, 2012 —Strahan – Cradle Mountain – Launceston
In Launceston a visit to see Tasmanian devils is included. Trowunna offers a wonderful selection of Tasmanian fauna and native flora. Trowunna is an integral part of the larger picture of wildlife, espcially the Koala, in Tasmania. Trowunna provides an oasis to transient and migratory wildlife looking to travel through what are, sometimes hostile environments. This is a crossroad where animals from alpine, forested, and coastal regions can meet and traverse across safely. Trowunna consists of several micro-habitats perfectly suited to unique native fauna, enabling us to cater for a large proportion of our native species.

This morning we depart for our sights of Sydney and the famous beaches. Driving through the city centre, we will see many contrasts - from the traditional Victorian architecture of the Town Hall and the Queen Victoria Building to the modern skyscrapers of the business district; from the sweeping design of the Opera House to the modern developments of Darling Harbour. Drive through the Botanic Garden to Lady Macquarie's Chair and then head out to the exclusive eastern suburbs, passing Kings Cross en route to Vaucluse and Double Bay. Visit Bondi Beach and historic Paddington with its iron railed town houses, arriving at Circular Quay for our lunch. On completion of the cruise, proceed to the Sydney Opera House for guided tour through the theatres and explanation of the fascinating history and architecture.

Depart the hotel to board the Great Barrier Reef vessel. Enjoy the one and half hour cruise to Upolu Cay on the Great Barrier Reef of turquoise water and many types of corals, reef fishes, stingrays, cucumbers, and sea stars. Snorkel and dive here. Assistance is provided to ensure all guests enjoy the reef. Lunch is served as we cruise to our second site, the "Wonder Wall" on the Outer Edge of Upolu Reef. View many different types of hard and soft coral in addition to fans, giant clams, turtles, and a huge diversity of reef fish of all sizes.
Tuesday, November 13, 2012 —Cairns
This morning we depart our hotel with Adventure North. Learn about our area's rich Aboriginal history and culture with the Kuku Yalanji Cultural Habitat Tours combined with the oldest living rainforest on the planet including the spectacular Niau Falls. Walk with brothers, Brandan and Linc Walker on pristine Cooya Beach and learn how observe wildlife through the mangroves. Enjoy morning tea as the Walker boys show and explain artifacts, tools, or how to play a didgeridoo. We continue north to the Daintree Village for an hour Daintree River Cruise.
Wednesday, November 14, 2012 —ECLIPSE
Depart from hotel early morning to Cairns Wharf where you will board a large catamaran for the cruise to Green Island. On completion of the eclipse event, sail back to Cairns. The remainder of the day is at leisure prior to the Australian Bar-B-Que tonight.
Thursday, November 15, 2012 —Cairns – Home City
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight or join another tour Down Under.
